Mr. Mohd. Shahab Uddin has eager desire to establish a Medical Instiute in the name and style "SHAHAB UDDIN MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL" It is being established at Gulshan-2, Dhaka at it's own land in August 2002.

Mr. Mohd. Shahab Uddin was born in enlightened and reputed muslim family on 1st Jan 1958 at village Andirpar, P.S. Begurngonj, Dist, Noakhali, His father Late Naderer Zanian was associated with social, religion, and humanitarian works in his area and patronize many organizations. He is being remembered by all, irrespective of caste and creads. Because of his family tradition, Mr. Mohd. Shahab Uddin from his boyhood developed himself as benevolent in nature He started his education from his village school and did his graduation from the Dhaka University. With the progress of education he involved himself with business and social work. After graduation, he fully engaged himself in business as well as continued his attachment with social and humanitarian services. For his immense services in diversilied sector of Trade & Industry, he was rewarded with C.I.P for many years by the Govermmern of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. Mohd. Shahabuddin is founder menther of Nandiapara Degree College, Bcgumgonj, Noakhali. He has also setup a Madrasha with Hc1jakhana and Atimkhana in the name of his beloved mother Late Golapi Nes.sa in his village.

Because of his continuous attachment with social works inspired him to setup Shahabuddin Medical College & Hospital for humanitarian servies to the people and nation at large. This is not his last venture, rather he has in his mind to start poverty alleviated projccLs for benefit of poor and needy in terms of economic upliftment of the ignored community of the country in future. He is a man of spirit and devotion. He works with untiring zeal and magnanimity as to acheive the objectives.

About College

Shahabuddin Medical College

 
Shahab Uddin Medical College & Hospital is being established in August 2002 at Plot #12, Road #113/A, Gulshan Model Town, Gulshan-2, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The College has been constructed by Mr. Mohd. Shahab Uddin the owner of the land. It is a 10 storied building with all the modern facilities.The collage already started a hospital with a capacity of 500 beds. The hospital is the laboratory of the college with all modern facilities. At the initial stage, the college had 100 students both male and female.The hospital is working with all disciplines required for a Medical College. Specialty service by skilled manpower would be available here.
 
This College is being approved by the Government of Bangladesh and affiliated with the University of Dhaka and is follow the Curriculum & Sylabus of BMDC and the Rules and Regulations of the University.
 
Our aim is to produce excellent quality of MBBS doctors and in future Dental-Surgeons and Paramedics. There is also provision for Post-Graduation teaching including Reacherch activities.
 
The eminent Medicine Specilist Professor Dr. Munir Uddin Ahmed has been working as advicer to the Chairman of the College.This prospectus contains all information with regard to MBBS Course.

   College Rules

1.

All students are to attend classes in clean well dressed white aporon with their Name Plate on the left front side of the Apron
2.
All student are to carry their" Indentity Cards".
3.
Rings, bangles are discouraged as they cause impediments to practical work.
4.
Fashionable dresses. untidy hair, slippers are discouraged in the College campus.
5.
Environment is to be kept clean and Students should use Waste Paper Basket.
6.
Pasting of posters on the walls of the College and the hospital buildings and or hanging of posters in the College and in the hospital premises are prohibited. These are considered as acts of indiscipline and offenders are liable to punishment,
7.
Smoking is Strictly forbidden in the College campus.
8.
Closing of College and hospital gates or doors of the College and or the hospital departments and creating obstacles to the normal functioning of the College and or the hospital are acts of gross indiscipline and students involved in such acts are ilable to be expelled from the College.
9.
All type of demonstrations, processions, shouting in the College and hospital premises are prohibited and students involved are liable to be expelled from the college.
10.
Abstentions from classes individually or in group or in a mass wthout prior information without valid reasons are punishable by imposition of daily fine of Tk. 100/- individually, Guardians will be informed of such acts.
11.

Students may inform their problems/grievances! inconveniences to the Secretary of College. The Secretary may solve the problems of the Students himself / herself or refer them to the Principal. Statement of the problems! grievances ! inconveniences by the students must be in a orderly and disciplined manner, any act of indiscipline on the part of any student including usage of abusive words or objectionable words and sentences, will make the students liable to be punished by expulsion from the College.

Student must not misbehave with the staff or employees of the College or the hospital. Acts of misbehavior are also Acts of i le f'"punishment,

The students are expected to maintain the highest st academic activites. Alcohol and narcotic drugs are prohi campus.
14.
At the time of admission into the College the students parents! guardians shall have to sign a bond that their Son/Daughter/Dependant will abide by the rules and regulations of the College.
15.
Every student shall procure/purchase all the prescribed Text books, Disseeting instruments, medical quipmenl ete. The College will not supply these to the students.
16.
In case of illness or other unavoidable reasons of non attendanee, written-
statement from the parent/gumdian is to be presented to the tenchers concerned, who in turn will submit it to the Principal for approval.
17.
Cost of loss, damage to College/hospital property is liable to be realised from the student found responsible for the loss, damage,

Political activities are not permitted in the college.
19.
Students are allowed to use the library.will be issued to the Students only for
reading in the library. Home issue of books for the Students are not permitted.
   Internship:
 
All students who have sueecsfully passeed their final Examinations are considered MBBS Diploma qualified and they have to undergo one year Internship training (hospital training) as per rules and regulations of BM&DC ( Bangladesh Medical & Dental council).
   The internship consists of:
i)
Six (06) Months Training in Medicine including Paedietric and Cardiology
il)
Six (06) Months Training in Surgery including A/E, Eye, ENT or Gynecology and Obstetrics
   Extra charge:
 
The College authority reserves the Tight to introduce any extra charges/fees etc. for unforseen expenditure related to academic and development of the College during the study of the students in this College.
